Uncertain times call for community, and uncertain times in isolation mean that for many, virtual reality is the new reality. We’re interested to hear how everyone is doing personally, as a community, across business and for our friends in the not for profit and social enterprise space, education and government. In collaboration with our publisher, Local Peoples, we’re conducting a research project to discover how we can support our community through this transition into a temporary new normal. We would love for you to share your thoughts so we can help to respond to these challenges over the coming weeks and months

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed!

So far in the research project, several shared community attitudes are emerging:

  • Our community is feeling a mix of emotions as they continue to process the new reality unfolding around them. There is worry about our global community and anxiety for consuming at some moments, but there’s also a hope that new normals in slower, more sustainable living will unfold in this period. They’re worried about communities who may be at higher risk, living in precarious or isolated conditions, but they’re not sure how they can help.
  • Businesses, organisations and creatives are seeking revised business guidelines for thriving in uncertain times, career mentorship and community support, and psychological resources to support them during this time.
  • Our community is looking to overcome a series of personal challenges — a lack of closeness to friends and family, career uncertainty and staying motivated while in isolation.
  • Many are looking to reinvent and reimagine their process and output during isolation — there’s a large interest in learning how to develop online workshops and digital experiences, along with finding new ways to share their message with their community.

Share your thoughts, feelings and hopes for the future via our survey now.
