Presented by Local Peoples and Matters Journal as part of Melbourne Design Week.
Melbourne-based Matters Journal will launch its fourth issue on Saturday March 14, as part of Melbourne Design Week – examining the hopeful horizons of possibility embedded in our complicated present.
Featuring writing and illustrations from the likes of Amal Awad, Roz Bellamy, Claire G Coleman, Mia Timpano, Tai Snaith and Tyson Yunkaporta, the newest release from Matters Journal packs a punch.
Head along to the launch, ask big questions, enjoy complimentary food and drinks and celebrate the individuals, communities and ideas helping people learn – and unlearn – a path to a brighter future. This event is wheelchair accessible. For questions or requests regarding accessibility, please email hello@localpeoples.com.
The event is one of three exciting initiatives hosted by Local Peoples on March 14th, along with 100 Jobs of the Future and College of the Curious. It will take place in the North Magdalen Laundry within the heritage-listed Abbotsford Convent precinct as part of Melbourne Design Week, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV. Local Peoples recognise and pay our deepest respect to the Wurundjeri, Bunurong and Wathaurong peoples of the Kulin Nation.
