Hear insights about Dwelling Poetically: Mexico City, a case study from curator Chris Sharp and exhibiting artists ektor garcia, Isabel Nuño de Buen, and Martin Soto Climent on the first Saturday of the exhibition.

Following an introduction by Chris Sharp, participating artists will give insights into their new works created during Melbourne residencies at in the lead up to the exhibition. ektor garcia’s installation involving a complex assemblage of glazed ceramic, leather, steel, crochet and bronze further explores the artist interest in questions of temporality, desire, decay and marginality. Isabel Nuño de Buen has developed a site-specific sculptural installation inspired by memories of cityscape and architecture, objects and bodies, which the artist refers to as constellations or psychological landscapes; and Martín Soto Climent has created a site-specific architecturally-scaled installation which speaks to the relations between public and private space, desire and the city itself.
