Melbourne Design Week - 15-25 March, NGV, Melbourne.
Nestled into the shedule for this year's Melbourne Design Week, the NGV presents Design Effects, a night of activism and inflammatory discussions about the nature of design. Local and international design curators and commentators will deliver a series of high tempo presentations exploring the 2018 Melbourne Design Week theme – Design Effects. Looking back in time and across the globe, each speaker will reveal how designers have embraced the role of activist and provocateur – communicating beliefs and values through their work.
These illuminating design stories reveal why and how designers create objects and places with meaning. Will more designers go on to embrace this role as a positive force – for humankind and nature?
